The Lactation Network
The Lactation Network (TLN) is a service that helps families get expert lactation care covered by their insurance. TLN works with many insurance plans to fully cover in-home, office, or virtual lactation consultations with an IBCLC, with no out-of-pocket cost to you.
If you qualify, TLN will handle the insurance paperwork, so you can focus on feeding your baby and getting the support you need.
How it works:
- You fill out a short form through TLN’s website.
- They check your insurance benefits
- If you qualify, they’ll send you to fill out questionnaire-then an email will promptly get sent. my way!
- Click the "BOOK with TLN' to be matched with me!
Wildflower:
Cigna
If your insurance provider is Cigna, you will click below to BOOK with WILDFLOWER for lactation support through a partnership with Wildflower Health. This collaboration offers access to expert lactation consultants (IBCLCs) via virtual or in-person visits—at no cost to you.
Out of Pocket/SuperBill
A superbill is a detailed receipt I provide after your lactation visit. It includes the medical codes and information your insurance company needs to reimburse you directly for our session.
While I don’t bill insurance myself, many clients are able to submit the superbill and receive partial or full reimbursement, depending on their plan.
What You’ll Need to Do:
- Pay for the visit up front.
- Submit the superbill to your insurance company.
- Follow up with your provider for reimbursement (some may request additional info).
It never hurts to ask your insurance provider for coverage! Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), most health insurance plans are required to cover breastfeeding support, counseling, and equipment as part of preventive health services—at no cost to you.
