Initial Consult


Initial consults usually lasts 1.5 to 2 hours

Set up an appointment before you leave the hospital- I can meet you in home! This is not just for Newborns- babies of all ages!


During these consults:

  • Perform a detailed analysis of your pregnancy, birth and feeding history.
  • Recommend and support re-lactation strategies
  • Observe and assess a feeding session.
  • Evaluate any tissue trauma and offer recommendations.
  • Determine pre and post milk transfer with our medical-grade infant scale.
  • Perform an oral functional and structural evaluation on baby.
  • Provide a customized lactation care plan for the immediate period and recommend follow-up consults as needed to reach your infant feeding goals.


A report to your health care provider(s) can be sent upon request via email. The initial consultation and follow up includes communication via private client messaging portal or email if scheduling a follow up!



Follow up- Consult


This visit usually lasts about 1 hour. During these consults Andrea will:

  • Observe and assess a feeding session.
  • Evaluate any new trauma, assess healing of previous trauma and offer recommendations.
  • Determine pre and post milk transfer with our medical-grade infant scale.
  • Re-evaluate oral motor function.
  • Adjust previous lactation care plan to help you reach your individual feeding goals.

Breastfeeding is natural, but it’s also a learned skill—for both you and your baby. Starting with education and support before birth helps you feel more confident and less overwhelmed when your baby is here. It can even improve your chances of meeting your feeding goals.   • Sleep, Sleep and more sleep
  • Baby struggling to latch and maintain latch at the breast or bottle
  • Baby is not gaining weight, is gaining slow
  • If your baby is fussy after most feedings or seems to be feeding “all of the time”
  • If a provider has said your baby has a lip or tongue tie
  • Obtain an infant oral motor functional evaluation
  • If you have pain, nipple trauma, engorgement, plugged ducts, mastitis or other breast-related illness
  • If you are exclusively pumping
  • If you need support introducing solids
